Privacy Policy
Scripa
Effective date: 15 June 2026 Last updated: 15 June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Scripa ("Scripa," "the app," "we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use the Scripa mobile application. Scripa is provided by Fıratcan Sucu, an individual developer based in Türkiye (the "data controller").
We built Scripa to work without accounts and to keep your content on your device. This policy describes exactly what that means, and the limited information that is processed when you use the app.
If you have any questions, contact us at support@firatcansucu.com.
1. Summary
- No account, no sign-in. You do not create an account to use Scripa, and we do not ask for your name, email, or phone number to use the app.
- Your content stays on your device. The scripts you write and the videos you record are stored locally on your device. We do not upload, host, or have access to them.
- We process a small amount of data through third parties — namely crash/diagnostic reports and subscription information — described in detail below.
- We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for advertising.
2. Information we process
2.1 Content you create (stored locally only)
- Scripts. Text you write or paste into Scripa is stored locally on your device.
- Videos and audio. When you record, the resulting video and audio files are stored locally on your device. If you choose to save a video to your device's photo library, it is saved there by you.
This content is not transmitted to us or to any server. We cannot read, access, or recover it. If you delete the app, locally stored content (other than videos you have separately saved to your photo library) is deleted with it.
2.2 Camera and microphone
Scripa requests access to your camera and microphone so you can record video and audio while your script scrolls on screen. The camera and microphone feeds are processed on your device to create your recordings and are not streamed or sent to us. You can grant or revoke these permissions at any time in your device settings; revoking them will disable recording features.
2.3 Photo library
With your permission, Scripa can save finished videos to your device's photo library. Scripa uses this access only to add videos you choose to save. We do not read, scan, or upload your existing photos or videos.
2.4 Crash and diagnostic data (Sentry)
To keep the app stable, Scripa uses Sentry (operated by Functional Software, Inc. / Sentry), with data processed on EU-based (Germany) infrastructure. In released versions of the app only (never in development builds), if the app crashes or encounters an error, Sentry collects technical diagnostic information such as:
- the type of error and a technical stack trace,
- the app version,
- device type and operating system version, and
- general technical state of the app at the time of the error.
Scripa is configured not to send personal/identifying data to Sentry (we explicitly disable default personal-data collection). We do not send your scripts, videos, name, or contact details to Sentry. This processing helps us diagnose and fix problems, and we rely on our legitimate interest (and, where required, your consent) in maintaining a secure, functioning app.
You can review Sentry's privacy practices at https://sentry.io/privacy/.
2.5 Subscriptions and purchases (RevenueCat, Apple, Google)
Scripa offers an optional paid premium subscription. Purchases are handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play, and subscription status is managed using RevenueCat (operated by RevenueCat, Inc.).
- We never receive or store your payment card or billing details. All payments are processed by Apple or Google under their own terms and privacy policies.
- RevenueCat receives information needed to validate and manage your subscription, such as a randomly generated, anonymous app user identifier, the product purchased, purchase/expiry timestamps, and store receipt/transaction information. This is used to determine whether your premium access is active and to enable purchase restoration.
You can review these third parties' privacy practices at:

- Google: https://policies.google.com/privacy
- RevenueCat: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy/
2.6 Settings and preferences
App preferences (such as language, onboarding status, and premium state) are stored locally on your device and are not transmitted to us.
3. What we do not do
- We do not require or collect your name, email address, phone number, or precise location.
- We do not sell or rent your personal information.
- We do not use your data for third-party advertising or build advertising profiles.
- We do not access, upload, or store your scripts or recorded videos on our servers.
4. How we use information
We use the limited information described above to:
- operate and maintain the app and its recording and teleprompter features;
- diagnose crashes and fix bugs (diagnostic data);
- provide and manage premium subscriptions, including restoring purchases (subscription data); and
- comply with legal obligations.
5. Legal bases for processing (EEA/UK and Türkiye)
Where the GDPR or the UK GDPR applies, we process data based on:
- Performance of a contract — to provide the app and your subscription;
- Legitimate interests — to keep the app secure, stable, and functioning (e.g. crash diagnostics), balanced against your rights; and
- Consent — where required, for example device permissions you grant.
Where Türkiye's Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698 (KVKK) applies, we process personal data on the corresponding legal grounds, including the necessity of processing for the establishment or performance of a contract, our legitimate interests, and your explicit consent where required.
6. Sharing and international transfers
We share information only with the service providers described in this policy (Sentry, RevenueCat, Apple, Google) acting as our processors or independent controllers, and only as needed to provide their respective functions. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our legal rights.
Some of these providers may process data outside your country, including outside Türkiye and the EEA. Where such transfers occur, they are carried out under appropriate safeguards (such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses) and in accordance with KVKK transfer requirements.
7. Data retention
- Locally stored content (scripts, videos, preferences) remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app. We have no control over and no access to it.
- Crash/diagnostic data is retained by Sentry for a limited period in line with its retention practices and then deleted.
- Subscription data is retained for as long as needed to manage your subscription and to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal data. Because Scripa operates without accounts and does not store your content or identify you, we often will not hold personal data that can be linked to you. Where we do process personal data, you may have the right to:
- access a copy of your personal data;
- request correction of inaccurate data;
- request deletion ("right to be forgotten");
- restrict or object to certain processing;
- request data portability; and
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
EEA/UK (GDPR): You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Türkiye (KVKK): Under Article 11 of the KVKK, you have rights including learning whether your data is processed, requesting information about the processing, and requesting correction or deletion. You may also apply to the Turkish Data Protection Authority (KVKK / Kişisel Verileri Koruma Kurumu).
California (CCPA/CPRA): California residents have the right to know, delete, and correct personal information, and to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@firatcansucu.com. We may need to verify your request, and we will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.
9. Children's privacy
Scripa is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@firatcansucu.com so we can address it. Use of the app by minors is also subject to the age requirements in our Terms of Use.
10. Security
We rely on the security of your device's operating system to protect locally stored content, and we use reputable service providers that maintain industry-standard safeguards for the limited data they process. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Third-party links and stores
The app and our website may link to third-party services (such as the App Store or Google Play). This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third parties, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of Scripa after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
